रायपुर– छत्तीसगढ़ के प्रथम मुख्यमंत्री अजीत जोगी ने 74 साल की उम्र में आखिरी सांस ली। छत्तीसगढ़ियों की आवाज बुलंद करने वाले नायक की मौत छत्तीसगढ़ की राजनीति के एक युग का अंत था। जोगी का व्यक्तित्व असाधारण था उनके इस असाधारण की वजह से उन्होंने कलेक्टर से मुख्यमंत्री तक सफ़र तय किया। अजीत जोगी का पूरा नाम अजीत प्रमोद कुमार जोगी था।
कल शनिवार को जोगी जी का पार्थिव शरीर सुबह 9 बजे सागौन बंगला रायपुर से बिलासपुर मरवाही सदन 11 बजे पहुँचेगा। वहां से कोटा रतनपुर केंदा मार्ग होते हुए उनके गृह ग्राम जोगीसार से गौरेला के पैतृक जोगी निवास पहुंचने के बाद सेनेटोरियम(मरवाही विधानसभा) में अंतिम संस्कार किया जाएगा। इस दौरान सरकार के दिशा निर्देशों के मुताबिक लौकड़ाऊं के नियमो का पालन किया जाएगा।
जब से छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य का गठन हुआ है राज्य की सियासत जोगी के इर्द-गिर्द ही घूमी। अजीत जोगी ने अपने करियर की शुरुआत बतौर कलेक्टर की थी, जिस दौरान इंदौर में कलेक्टरी कर रहे थो तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी के संपर्क में आ गए। 1986 के आस-पास उन्होंने कांग्रेस ज्वाइन कर सक्रिय राजनीति में प्रवेश किया।
राजनीति में प्रवेश करने के बाद जोगी ने अपनी अलग राजनीतिक पहचान बना ली, वह 1986 से 1998 तक राज्यसभा के सदस्य रहे। इस दौरान वह कांग्रेस में अलग-अलग पद पर कार्यकर रहे, वहीं 1998 में रायगढ़ से लोकसभा सांसद चुने गए।
साल 2000 में जब छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य का गठन हुआ, तो उस क्षेत्र में कांग्रेस को बहुमत था। यही कारण रहा कि कांग्रेस ने बिना देरी के अजीत जोगी को ही राज्य का मुख्यमंत्री बना दिया। जोगी 2003 तक राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री रहे।
छत्तीसगढ़ के पहले सीएम थे अजीत जोगी
छत्तीसगढ़ के गठन के साथ ही अजीत जोगी राज्य की सियासत के धुरी बन गए. छत्तीसगढ़ की राजनीति हमेशा अजीत जोगी के इर्द-गिर्द घुमती रही है. अजीत जोगी ने वर्ष 2000 में छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री पद की पहली बार शपथ ली तो उनका वो बयान इतिहास के पन्नों में उन अमिट पंक्तियों की तरह दर्ज हो गया जिसे हर राजनीतिक विश्लेषक बार-बार दोहराता है.
छत्तीसगढ़ के पहले मुख्यमंत्री के तौर पर शपथ लेते हुए अजीत जोगी ने कहा था, ‘हां मैं सपनों का सौदागर हूं. मैं सपने बेचता हूं.’ लेकिन वर्ष 2000 के बाद वह सियासत के ऐसे सौदागर साबित हुए जो राजनीति के शीर्ष पर पहुंचने के सपने को दोबारा साबित नहीं कर पाया.
दो बार राज्यसभा सदस्य, दो बार लोकसभा सदस्य, एक बार मुख्यमंत्री रहने के अलावा उनके खाते में कांग्रेस के राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता रहने का रिकॉर्ड भी दर्ज है. उनकी इच्छाशक्ति और जिजीविषा को एक मिसाल के तौर पर देखा जाता है. उनके राजनीतिक करियर में आने को लेकर तमाम किस्से हैं, जो तैरते मिल जाते हैं.
