मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में आए हुए वरिष्ठ पुरातत्ववेत्ता पद्मश्री डॉ. अरूण कुमार शर्मा ने सर्वप्रथम कोटा जैसे छोटे से नगर में गांधी-सुभाष जैसे राष्ट्रीय विषय पर संगोष्ठी आयोजित करने के लिए कॉलेज प्रबंधन की प्रशंसा की। उन्होंने गांधी-सुभाष की अंतर्दृष्टि और अंर्तद्वन्द्वों को रेखांकित करते हुए उन्हें वर्तमान की आवश्यकता निरूपित किया। विशिष्ट अतिथि वरिष्ठ शिक्षाविद् अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी विश्वविद्यालय बिलासपुर के कुलपति डॉ. जी.डी. शर्मा ने कहा कि गांधी और सुभाष दो अलग-अलग विचार-बिन्दु का नेतृत्व करते थे, लेकिन लक्ष्य एक ही था। हमें अध्ययन-अध्यापन में इनके विचारों की गहनता को शामिल करना होगा। सेमीनार के मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में पं. रविशंकर शुक्ल विश्वविद्यालय रायपुर के इतिहास विभाग की प्रमुख एवं छत्तीसगढ़ इतिहास परिषद की अध्यक्ष प्रो. आभा रूपेन्द्र पॉल ने गांधी-सुभाष के विहंगम चरित्र पर प्रकाश डालते हुए भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में उनके योगदान, संघर्ष एवं सफलता-असफलता को विस्तार से प्रस्तुत करते हुए उसकी महत्ता बतलायी। स्त्रोत वक्ता के रूप में पधारे शासकीय कॉलेज सीपत के डॉ. डी. के. पाण्डेय ने संगोष्ठी के दौरान यह इंगित करने का प्रयास किया कि जब भी राजनीतिक, आर्थिक एवं सामाजिक समस्यायें देश में आती है तो हम गांधी को ही क्यों याद करते हैं. उन्होंने गांधी-सुभाष के उस स्वरूप को प्रस्तुत किया जो असहमति में सहमति के प्रकाशपुंज के समान है। विशिष्ट अतिथि इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय से आयीं डॉ. अनुराधा सिंह ने सामान्य स्वराज की अवधारणा एवं गांधी के स्वराज्य की अवधारणा में अंतर पर व्याख्यान दिया। मगध विश्वविद्यालय, बोधगया से आये डॉ. मो. शमशाद अंसारी ने गांधी जी के दर्शन और ग्रामीण विकास पर विचार व्यक्त किये। इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के डॉ. पंकज सिंह ने भारतीय फिल्मों के माध्यम से गांधी-सुभाष के विचारों के समाज में विस्तारीकरण पर रोचक और मनोरंजक तथ्य प्रस्तुत किये। राष्ट्रीय शोध संगोष्ठी की संयोजक प्रो. पूजा शर्मा ने संगोष्ठी के उद्देश्यों पर विस्तृत प्रकाश डालते हुए इसकी सार्थकता को स्पष्ट किया। उन्होंने बताया गांधी-सुभाष के राष्ट्र, जाति और संप्रदाय को लेकर उद्देश्य एक ही थे, परन्तु उपकरण अलग-अलग थे, इस पर सकारात्मक दृष्टिकोण से शोध करने पर बल दिया तथा आशा व्यक्त की कि संगोष्ठी की सार्थकता इन्हीं बिन्दुओं की खोज करने में है। संगोष्ठी के संरक्षक तथा प्राचार्य प्रो. बी. एल. काशी ने सभी अभ्यागतों का हार्दिक अभिनंदन किया तथा इस प्रयास को सफल बनाने के लिए सभी को धन्यवाद दिया। संगोष्ठी का मुख्य आकर्षण एवं प्रशंसा का केन्द्र गांधी-सुभाष पर चित्र प्रदर्शनी थी, जिसमें गांधी और सुभाष की संपूर्ण जीवन यात्रा को 200 चित्रों के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत किया गया। सर्वश्रेष्ठ शोध पत्र प्रस्तुत करने वाले कालेज के विद्यार्थी अखिलेश्वर साहू को डॉ. सुरेश चंद्र शुक्ला स्मृति पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। संगोष्ठी के समापन सत्र में कार्यक्रम के आयोजन सचिव प्रो. शान्तनु घोष ने संगोष्ठी को सफल बनाने और गांधी-सुभाष से संबंधित शोध को एक नई दिशा प्रदान करने के लिए सभी शोधकर्ताओं,
