संपादक को पत्रकार का जवाब..
डेस्क– कोरोना के बीच भूपेश सरकार के कुशाभाऊ ठाकरे पत्रकारिता विवि का नाम बदलकर चंदूलाल चन्द्राकर किये जाने के फैसले को लेकर प्रदेश की राजनीति तो गरमाई ही है, पत्रकारों के बीच भी बहस छिड़ गई है।
बहस की शुरुआत तब हुई, जब बीते दिनों वरिष्ठ पत्रकार संजय द्विवेदी ने मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल के नाम एक खुली चिट्ठी लिखी, और सरकार के इस फैसले को अनुचित ठहराया। जिसके बाद रायपुर के वरिष्ठ पत्रकार राजकुमार सोनी ने एक जवाबी खुला पत्र लिखा है।

आदरणीय संजय जी,
आप वरिष्ठ भले न हों पर एक अनुभवी पत्रकार हैं. छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री श्री भूपेश बघेल को लिखा आपका खुला पत्र मैंने भी पढ़ लिया. मुझे लगा कि इसका जवाब मुझे भी लिखना चाहिए. वो इसलिए कि इस पत्र में कहीं से मेरा भी ज़िक्र आया है. मैं उन कुछ पत्रकारों में शामिल था जिन्होंने सरकार से कुशाभाऊ ठाकरे पत्रकारिता एवं जनसंचार विश्व विद्यालय का नाम बदलकर चंदूलाल चंद्राकर या माधवराव सप्रे के नाम पर करने का अनुरोध किया था. सरकार ने अनुरोध स्वीकार किया और विश्वविद्यालय का नाम चंदूलाल चंद्राकर के नाम पर करने का फ़ैसला किया. इस फ़ैसले से हमें हार्दिक प्रसन्नता हुई है.
जिन कुछ पत्रकारों का ज़िक्र आपने किया है उनमें मेरे अलावा 15 और पत्रकार थे. रुपेश गुप्ता, देवेश तिवारी, दीपक विश्वकर्मा, नदीम मेमन, ब्रजेश द्विवेदी, गौरव शर्मा, सुखनंदन बंजारे, अतीक उर्रहमान, दिलीप सिन्हा, शिवशंकर पांडे, समरेंद्र शर्मा, दिलीप साहू, शेख इस्माइल, व्यास पाठक और प्रमोद ब्रह्मभट्ट ने इस पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर किए थे.
आपने लिखा है कि आप देश के बहुत से पत्रकारों से दस्तख़त करवा सकते हैं कि यह नाम बदलना ग़लत हुआ. हो सकता है कि आप कर लें. लेकिन विरोध करने वालों में से से कितने होंगे जिनको छत्तीसगढ़ की मिट्टी से वह सुगंध आती होगी जो आपको अपने गृहनगर उत्तर प्रदेश के बस्ती की मिट्टी से आती होगी? या राजनीतिक निष्ठा से ऊपर जिनको माटी की महक महसूस होती होगी?
आपने जो लिखा है उस पर आप को बहुत से फ़ोन आए होंगे. एक गिरोह विशेष से जुड़े लोगों ने तालियां भी बजाई होंगीं. लेकिन यह लिखने के लिए क्षमा कीजिएगा कि आपने अपना लिखा ठीक तरह से दोबारा नहीं पढ़ा. अगर पढ़ पाते तो पता चलता कि चंदूलाल चंद्राकर के बारे में, पत्रकारिता और छत्तीसगढ़ की सेवा के बारे में लिखने के लिए आपके पास बहुत कुछ था. आपने उन पर पांच वाक्य लिखे. लेकिन जब कुशाभाऊ ठाकरे के बारे में लिखना था तो बात एक वाक्य में सिमट गई. ‘कुशाभाऊ ठाकरे सात्विक वृत्ति के राजनीतिक नायक थे.’ इस पर कोई विवाद नहीं. लेकिन यह कोई विशिष्ट गुण तो था नहीं. जो लोग चंदूलाल चंद्राकर को जानते हैं तो वे बताएंगे कि वे कुशाभाऊ से कम सात्विक नहीं थे. कई मायनों में वे बीस ही रहे होंगे. कुशाभाऊ ठाकरे जी ने ‘छत्तीसगढ़ और मध्यप्रदेश की अहर्निश सेवा’ कैसे की यह बात न आप बता पाए और न कोई और बता पा रहा है. अगर आपके पास विवरण हों तो एक खुली चिट्ठी और लिखिएगा और बताइएगा कि कुशाभाऊ ठाकरे ने संघ, जनसंघ और भारतीय जनता पार्टी की सेवा के अलावा ऐसा क्या किया जिसकी वजह से उन्हें छत्तीसगढ़ की जनता याद करें ? क्या उन्होंने छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य के निर्माण के लिए कभी कोई आंदोलन किया? क्या उन्होंने छत्तीसगढ़ को ऐसा कुछ दे दिया जिसके लिए इस राज्य को उनका कृतज्ञ होना चाहिए?
एक विचारधारा के प्रति आपका झुकाव सर्वविदित है. इस झुकाव में आप देख/समझ नहीं पा रहे हैं कि एक पत्रकारिता विश्वविद्यालय का नाम रखने में पूर्ववर्ती सरकार से चूक हुई. जैसा कि आपने ज़िक्र किया, उस सरकार के पास भी चंदूलाल चंद्राकर के अलावा माधवराव सप्रे, गजानन माधव मुक्तिबोध, श्रीकांत वर्मा और सत्यदेव दुबे जैसे पुरोधाओं के नाम थे. लेकिन सरकार ने इनमें से कोई भी नाम नहीं चुना. न पत्रकारिता विश्व विद्यालय के लिए और न किसी और संस्थान के लिए. रायपुर में ऑडिटोरियम बनाया तो उसका नाम ही सत्यदेव दुबे के नाम पर रख देते. लेकिन पूर्ववर्ती सरकार को यह नहीं सूझा. सूझना भी नहीं था क्योंकि मूर्ति लगवाने से लेकर नाम रखने तक हर बार उनके पास वो नाम थे जो राजनीतिक विचारधारा के अनुरूप उन्हें जंचते थे लेकिन छत्तीसगढ़ से उनका कोई लेना देना था ही नहीं. रायपुर में बलबीर जुनेजा के नाम से बने स्टेडियम से भी पूर्ववर्ती सरकार को कोई प्रेरणा नहीं मिली।
प्रदेश की पहली सरकार कांग्रेस की थी. उसने चंदूलाल चंद्राकर जी ने नाम से एक फ़ैलोशिप की स्थापना की. डॉ रमन सिंह ने उसे नहीं बदला तो यह उनकी राजनीतिक उदारता नहीं थी, राजनीतिक मजबूरी थी. आप भले की अनुमान लगा रहे हों कि आने वाले दिनों में कोई ग़ैर कांग्रेस सरकार आएगी तो वह फिर विश्वविद्यालय का नाम बदल देगी लेकिन आप लिखकर रख लीजिए कि कोई भी सरकार ऐसा नहीं कर पाएगी क्योंकि यह अब छत्तीसगढ़ की अस्मिता से जुड़ा सवाल है. प्रदेश में अब ऐसी कोई ऐसी सरकार नहीं आने वाली है जिसकी राजनीतिक औकात छत्तीसगढ़ की अस्मिता से छेड़छाड़ करने की हो.
आपने प्रदेश के नए मुखिया भूपेश बघेल की ख़ूब प्रशंसा की है. लेकिन वह कोई नहीं बात नहीं क्योंकि आप तो सबकी प्रशंसा करते हैं. आप ‘प्रशंसा करने वाली श्रेणी’ के ही पत्रकार हैं. इसीलिए आपको विश्वविद्यालय में राजनीतिक रास्ते से कुलपति बने व्यक्ति में भी खूबियां ही खूबिया नज़र आती हैं. लेकिन आपने भूपेश बघेल जी को जो चेतावनी दी है वह आपकी समझ की सीमा को दर्शाती है. आप छत्तीसगढ़ में व्यावसायिक कारणों से आए और विवादों की वजह से चले गए. इसलिए आप नहीं समझ सकते कि भूपेश बघेल जी छत्तीसगढ़ में क्या कर रहे हैं. वे प्रदेश की राजनीति को ऐसे रास्ते पर ले जा रहे हैं जिसमें कोई यू-टर्न नहीं है. आने वाले दिनों में जो भी राजनीति होगी वह छत्तीसगढ़ की माटी, उसकी सुगंध, उसकी संस्कृति और उसके स्वाभिमान के ईर्दगिर्द ही होगी. आप जिस ओर इशारा कर रहे हैं वह दरअसल आपका दिमागी वहम है. वह दिन गए जब आरएसएस ने अजीत जोगी के ख़िलाफ़ एक दुष्प्रचार खड़ा करके सत्ता छीनने का रास्ता बनाया था. जो छत्तीसगढ़ आप देख गए थे और जो छत्तीसगढ़ आज है उसमें उतना ही अंतर है जितना छत्तीसगढ़ के लिए कुशाभाऊ ठाकरे और चंदूलाल चंद्राकर में है. माफ़ कीजिएगा लेकिन आप छत्तीसगढ़ के स्वभाव को समझ ही नहीं पाए. दरअसल आपने कोशिश ही नहीं की. करते भी तो आसानी से समझ नहीं पाते. बस्ती से आकर बसने और इसी माटी में धूल-धुसरित होकर बड़े हुए लोगों की समझ में अंतर तो होगा ही. आप प्रवासी थे और प्रवासी की तरह प्रदेश को देखते रहे.
आपने अपने पत्र में मुख्यमंत्री के सलाहकार की ओर संकेत किए हैं और उनका सरासर अपमान किया है. आपने प्रकारांतर से उन्हें ‘देशद्रोही’ जैसी ही संज्ञा देने की कोशिश की है. (जो कि आपकी विचारधारा को ही रेखांकित करता है) निजी तौर पर मैं उन्हें जानता हूं और आपसे ज्यादा जानता हूं. वे देश एक सम्मानित पत्रकार रहे हैं और पूरा देश उन्हें उनकी पत्रकारिता की वजह से जानता है. आप उन पर कोई टिप्पणी करने से पहले अपना क़द पत्रकारिता के आइने में एक बार देख लेते तो अच्छा होता.
रमन सिंह को तीन कार्यकाल देने की बात आपने कही है. इस पर किसी और समय किसी और खुले पत्र में चर्चा करेंगे. प्रत्याशी ख़रीदफ़रोख़्त से लेकर झीरम तक बड़ी लंबी चर्चा है. उसमें समय लगेगा.
जहां तक विश्वविद्यालय के स्तर का सवाल है तो पिछले वर्षों में इस विश्वविद्यालय को संघ के कार्यालय की तरह चलाया गया है जो अब बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जा सकता. यह कैसा कुलपति है जो बात तो पत्रकारिता की करता है लेकिन शपथ लेने संघ, भाजपा, भाजयुमो और अभाविप के लोगों के साथ जाता है. नारे लगवाता है. आपकी तकलीफ़ नाम बदलने को लेकर नहीं है. आपकी तकलीफ़ एक विश्वविद्यालय से अपनी विचारधारा को खिसकते देखने की है.
पत्रकारिता विश्वविद्यालय का नाम बदल गया है. मुझे पूरी उम्मीद है कि आने वाले दिनों में पत्रकारिता की पाठशाला भी बदलेगी और वो सब कलई भी खुलेगी जो पिछले बरसों में यहां लीप-पोत दी गई है.
