घटना दंतेवाड़ा जिले के कुआकोंडा थाना क्षेत्र की है, जहां मूलतः बंगाल निवासी सुब्रतो सरकार ने आत्महत्या कर ली है। बताया जा रहा है कि जिस वक्त यह घटना घटी, उस वक्त जवान टावर मोर्चे पर था, और घर वालों से फोन पर बात कर रहा था। इसी दौरान अपने इंसास राइफल से खुद को गोली मार ली।
